The theme for this year’s World Hearing Day is ‘Changing Mindsets’. The World Health Organisation have identified that over 80% of ear and hearing care needs remain unmet globally and that unaddressed hearing loss poses an annual cost of nearly US$1 trillion. Changing mindsets related to ear and hearing care is therefore crucial to both improving access and mitigating the cost of unaddressed hearing loss around the globe.
To mark this year’s World Hearing Day, we are delighted that Dr Carling will be speaking at our local Kings Hill School on Monday 4th March, to highlight to both pupils and teachers the signs and symptoms of hearing loss in children and explain what steps to take if you are struggling to hear properly. We are really looking forward to meeting everyone!
We will also be holding a ‘walk in’ coffee morning on Friday April 12th between 10.30 and 13.30 at our Kings Hill Clinic, 80 Churchill Square. Both existing patients and anyone living locally who has questions about their hearing health or would like to find out more about hearing aids, hearing testing or earwax removal, are welcome to drop by for a chat with a member of our team over a cuppa and a slice of cake! If you would like to come and join us, please RSVP on 01732 525912. We look forward to seeing you!
