Dr Priya Carling, RHAD, AuD has been appointed to the British Society of Audiology (BSA) board of Trustees, with specific responsibility as Trustee for the BSA Professional Guidance Group (PGG).  The BSA PGG is responsible for producing all documents that guide audiology practice in England, including those for recommended treatment and procedures.

The BSA’s is the country’s leading organisation for audiology professionals, whose primary objective is to promote excellence in all aspects of hearing and balance, advancing knowledge, informing best practice and driving positive impact in all areas of audiology in Great Britain.  As part of her role, Dr Carling will act as the liaison between the chair of the PGG and the rest of the BSA board.  Dr Carling has been a senior fellow of the BSA since April 2020.

Dr Carling commented: ‘I am delighted to have been appointed to this position where I can be involved with other senior clinicians in advancing and ensuring best practice across our profession and therefore have direct impact on improving patient care and outcomes.  I am looking forward to working with the rest of the BSA board, trustees and members to this end.”
