In Sep 2017 I was asked to go to Geneva by The World Health Organisation (WHO) to join a team of healthcare professionals to work on the writing and revision of ear care training manuals. Working under the direction of Dr Shelly Chadha, we have been reviewing old manuals and developing new ones to be used in low to middle income countries all over the world, by anyone with responsibility for ear and hearing care. This includes community health workers, doctors, healthcare professionals, care givers, teachers and parents. The manuals will enable the user to identify hearing problems and understand where and how to seek help.
The team meet again in Geneva in this June to finalise the project with publication of the manuals scheduled for later this year.
